1.       Games are three 12 minute “stop time” periods.  However, it is at the discretion of the game officials (refs and  or time keeper) to switch to running time in the third period when the game time can not be finished within the allotted ice time session.

Example: There are 5 minutes left on the  time clock in the third period  and there is only 7 minutes left for the scheduled ice session.  Time keeper will switch to running time in order to finish the game within the allotted time slot.

2.       NO CANCELLING GAMES, except for weather. Scheduled games come first before tournament games.  Teams who cancel indoor games will be responsible for paying for the ice to make up games.

4.       Home Team is responsible for calling Ref in Chief, Glen Diduck (694-9831), when games are cancelled because of cold weather. Call the  Ref in Chief two hours before game time to cancel the game. It is the responsibility of the Home Team to re-schedule cancelled games.  Contact Ref-in-Chief to have officials at the re-scheduled game.  It is not mandatory to play all cancelled games, but SOMHA encourages Coaches to try and re-schedule cancelled games.
